Is the Fisher Price Little People City Skyway Worth Buying?
When you are dealing with a toy that stands as tall as the children who might be playing with it, the first thing that you need to consider is just how sturdy the toy is and can it withstand a little rough and tumble. Thankfully, the City Skyway is incredibly sturdy and well-made. It takes around 20 screws to be fully assembled and each one stays firmly in place. This makes the toy incredibly durable and perfectly suited for young energetic children!
There are two toy cars included in the set – Koby and Tessa. These are perfectly weighted for the City Skyway and are nicely designed. Although other toy cars such as Hot Wheels can be used to play with the set, they don’t work quite as well with some of the interactive points due to their differing weight and size. However, there is enough compatibility for children to still have fun mixing and matching other toys with the City Skyway.
The attention to detail throughout the City Skyway is rather impressive – from the faces on Koby and Tessa to the imprints of litter, drawings and footprints on the sidewalk. There has been plenty of effort put into making this set attractive to youngsters, and it shows. One thing worth considering is that although the City Skyway is very sturdy, it is not a toy that you can disassemble easily. With that in mind, you should only purchase this toy if you can leave it assembled at all times. If you can, your children will love it.
